Just got to say “hey” to all my girls at Hume Lake this summer! I’ve been getting a few emails wondering what the topic will be for this year’s girls-only seminar. I SO wish I could be there for another go-round in Memorial Chapel! Our Wednesday mornings together remain some of my fondest (and wildest…and most embarrassing) memories of my years living at Hume. So as you head up the mountain for your various weeks at camp this summer, I hope you’ll smile when you think of Barbies, AE undies, “Robo-Hottie”, and (of course) growing together in Christ. If you have a minute, I’d love to hear what God does in your hearts through camp this summer! And would somebody please order a mint chip shake for me???

As I was getting ready this morning, spending more time than I could afford primping in our dimly-lit bathroom, a rather profound thought hit me. (I know, there’s nothing like plucking stray brow hairs to kick the IQ into gear at 7 a.m.) If you’re skeptical that a coherent thought could possibly have befallen me at such an unpleasant hour, you’re not alone. But that’s partly what makes this revelatory enough to share. Continue Reading »
